I have oily and acne-prone skin, and
I've literally tried every anti-acne product in the market. So when my
mom told me to try tea tree oil for acne, I didn't expect a lot. It's been a month since I started applying
the oil. Pimples have almost vanished and my skin feels smoother. What I
really like though, is that it's very mild and doesn't irritate my
sensitive skin. As far as side-effects are concerned, although I've read
about a few, I haven't experienced any yet. Stick to well-known brands,
and read the label on the bottle properly for any precautions.
I used the tea tree oil by adding it to my daily moisturizer and sunscreen. Especially in the summer months when you are applying a lot of sunscreen and oil based products I feel this works wonders at helping to keep my skin clear.
