Product Description

Navigating Emotions for Parents is a collection of simple, in-the-moment mindfulness exercises to stop and change what we do when we feel upset so we can enjoy more time with our kids. Each exercise is only a page or two long and you can read one then practice it for a week or so and make it your own. By the end of the book you’ll have twenty useful tools to help you navigate the emotional waters of parenting.
Written by mom of five, meditation facilitator and parent educator Amy Phoenix, Navigating Emotions for Parents points the way to helping ourselves and our children implement alternatives to harshness when we feel frustration, anger and even rage. More details can be found

Navigating Emotions for Parents  is a PDF download that works right on your computer. Although it can  be read on the screen, the way the document is set up, it can also be printed. The choice is up to you. After reading this book I have learned many things about handling emotions when I am about to explode. It is paramount to safeguarding ourselves when we are not in our best because we can hurt others with our words and we can hurt ourselves too in the process and the kids that we love.
I like that it guides you and suggests ideas in a gentle manor.  If you are having a hard time with any kind of issue with keeping your emotions organized, then this book should help you.
The first line in this book asks you an important question?
“Would you like to choose how you respond when parenting feels intense?”
If you say yes or maybe, then this book is a no brainer.  Navigating Emotions can help you and your family and your kids become more harmonious if you follow the guidelines.  The book is only 28 pages, but it is FULL of wonderful suggestions.  It doesn’t feel like a lecture, just a guidance from mom to other parents.
This book guides you for occasions like how to navigate around that you yelled at your child then felt bad afterwards.  Or when you feel angry and the emotion keeps getting stronger and stronger the more your child misbehaves.  Everyone has been there as a parent.  Sometimes you had a bad day yourself and take it out on your child with yelling more often.  This book is going to help you handle parenting in a more easy going manner.
I read the book and have definitely applied some lessons to my own behavior.  I love my child up to the sky and down, and the sky never stops going up, but we all get a little angry sometimes! In addition to Navigating Emotions for Parents, Presence Parenting  has a lot of additional resources to help keep the kids clam. At the end of the day, when you have a  calmer attitude, you will have a calmer and happier lifestyle.
